Ginny, I think it looks really good. I would leave the hat off. Or depending on your scene, maybe have the hat on a fence post next to them.

That is absolutely wonderful carving Ginny, just go with your instincts, it can be done any way you want...after all it is your carving, right.

Ginny, like the others, I think you're doing fine! Remember, would be carvers, would be carvers, if they would carve wood! Keep at it, you'll likely find that each one gets a little better.
