Default The Harper

I'm not sure if I had mentioned this or not, am in the process of carving a model of a local vessel for a family out West. The vessel is a small ship called the Harper. I had carved a half model of the same ship for a gentleman in Ontario last year, who had a G.G. Grandfather involved in the building of her. Well this family had a G.G.Grandfather involved in the ownership of her and the vessel was named after him. Kind of a coincidence that both families are related in different ways to the same vessel and both ask for models of her.

I've been spending most of my time on drawings of her and researching what she'd look like, but finally got into actual woodwork on her. I'll post progress of her when there is anything to see, if you'd like. I'm never sure if I'm boring folks or not.

Bob

Bob .. After watching my dad for so many years piece together his junks .. It gave me a high respect for those who design and build ships ..
Your's are unbelievable .. The time taken in design , planning , and work is something my dad tried to teach me to do .. but I just couldnt get it or love it like he did ..
After watching him .. I know how much talent it takes to even design one of these beauties .. And yours are that ...Please shared the finished piece with us when your through ..
Thanks for sharing this wonderful art ...
