| | hanging in there I"m just about finished with this (needs a couple of add-ons) carved from the hanging in there by Cleve Taylor. It's my first attempt at Lynn's wet-on-wet painting technique and I used too much paint in the wash for his face, but it turned out okay. Feel free to critique as I have learned from other posts critique's and I think they benefit all. I'm a full time rv'r so I had to take the pictures on the bed, sorry, and then I had to resize then for posting so they are really bad now. Arnie |

| | Re: hanging in there Arnie .. I think you did a great job on the face .. Maybe were our own worst critics .. but I dont see anything wrong with any of it .. I think it's great work and a wonderful carving .. I have seen this carved by others and your right up in the front on the carving and painting .. I dont know about you .. but I would give it a 10.0 ...
Thanks for sharing .. |

| | Re: hanging in there You already know how I like it my friend but it is a super carving. Ya done an excellent job on carving and painting. Sure do like the cow poke's expression. Sums up the pickle he is in. The vulture is need and his antisipation look is so cool. Jolly good show Mate. |

| | Re: hanging in there Great work, Arnie! Did you do the horse separate and then assemble? How about the head/hat?

| | Re: hanging in there Claude, the horse and head were carved as separate pieces. The horse was sawed in-two just behind the saddle and glued back together between the legs. Arnie | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
