Just finished the GW Teal. It's life size, carved from northern pine and will be painted in acrylic or oils. It'll be entered into competition.

I almost missed this one Jax ... But glad I didnt .. Beautiful Teal Jax .. I use to kill a lot of teal in my old hunting days down here in Texas ... They were the duck most prevalent to this area ..The blue and green wing .. and we killed more green then blue .. You got it down to a T Jax .. Looks just like those beauties ...Great job ... Let's see it when it's finished ..

Thanks for the compliments on the carving...I decided to paint it with acrylics to ensure that it will be dry for competition.

Hi Jax, not only are you an excellent woodburner you've carved a good looking duck. I agree, if you have a show to ready this one for--then acrylics is the best choice. Looking forward to seeing the painted GW.
