i am so glad to see this!I had wanted to try this same pattern and was a bit leary, me being a newbie at Carving, Yours is looking so great! I really want one...so maybe I will try...any advice? I'll bet you can't wait till its finished! Are you keeping it for yourself?

Hey Bob -

Did you ever complete this green man? Perhaps you posted pics in another thread? I am curious to see how you made out. Not sure how I missed this thread back last Jan, but he looks like you were making great progress. I am wanting to try one of these someday too.

Hey Dick - checked out your site. Nice stuff. Love the Toad Stools. Especially the different colored tops. Very cool idea. Thanks for sharing your greenman pics.

The Brandenburg Green Man, I have been playing with the idea of the Green Fella' for a few years now, side profiles are quite effective.....



I use a lot of off cuts up this way....and I burn the little bits on m' cowboy campfire.

Trying to keep it simple and quick, spontaneous carvin'

This one above was chainsaw, burnt heavy and sand blasted, driftwood effect.
