Default Great Horned owl cont.

Thanks again everyone for your last comments, it's great how comments from people from this forum keep your spirits up and make you want to strive to do better at your job. Here again are the most resent picture's of more detail on the owl. I'm getting excited because the burning is coming to an end soon. So many detailed marks on owl's especially on the great horned owl. I will be out of town this week on buisness, but will continue when I get back. bird carver

It is fun when a carving proceeds through the steps and you see more and more of what you had envisioned come alive in your work. The burning process, while tedious at times, does more for the project by bringing the fine details out and highlighting the basic shapes. It really helps to have the feedback and encouragement of other carvers, their comments do tend to encourage you to take greater effort and not settle for your previous level.

Well done, and look forward to the next batch of pics.

Bob
