Default Great horned owl carving cont'd

Hello everyone, yes I am still working on the owl and still waiting on my owl eyes. In the mean time of waiting on the eyes I decided to burn the feather shafts in and start on my perch for the owl. I have the top portion of the stump separated so I can burn and paint the underside of the tail feathers. When I'm done with that I will seal the seam and paint the stump. Still a long way to go, but it is worth it. bird carver</IMG>

Bird Carver,
he is going to be beautiful. Just what you have done so far is very impressive. I loved the closeup of the feet. And the feathers are so soft looking.... excellent. Can't wait to see him finished.

What a gorgeous bird! I agree with Susie...the feathering looks so soft and the feet are great. I can't wait to see how you finish this. Wonderful job, Bird Carver...Bonnie
