Default Gnome Home woodcarving

Hi, well my sons graduation is finally over so I can get back to carving. This pc has been a lot of fun. To hollow out the back I had to buy a new Foredom! I have updated my home page to include this project as well.

I have not done any of the detail work yet still a lot to do. Any comments are welcome.

Have a great day.

Greg

Here is an update, I am in the finish coating stage.

I tried to enhance the rocks a little. Next time I will make the thickness of the rocks less so that I can punch through and leave some holes in the rocks for characture.

I also undercut the shingles a little bit. Next time I might even try to undercut them more. The wood was really fragile and wanted to chip so I stopped while I was ahead.

Hey Greg, look-n good I really like the work your doing on this one. One of these days I'd like to carve one.
