Thankyou for everyone that applied to my post. Yes I do have my work cut out for me. Lessons can still be learned Don't know what else to say and I can't swear on the board so. Thanks again to all of you.

I've had good luck repairing some "dumb mistakes" , and I've had my share, with a product called Kulis Karvit. It's a two part epoxy that drys hard but can still be carved. I've even tinted it with a little oil paint to match the wood I'm using.

Hey Bob..sorry about your situation..I just got back from lunch and was scratchin' my noggin about this. If you cannot get the boards apart??? give a holler back..

I posted my pic on the mantel and instead of pulling it apart I forced glue in the cracks and put sawdust over the section put heavy weight on it then tooled the sections with the crack and I can't even tell . I pray nothing else happens I have to much time into this one . Thanks for the concern
