Wonderful carving. I remember growing up with the old wood stove and in front of it we had an ash pan about 6" high by about 12" sq. it was a white porcelain pan with spots of the porcelain chipped off. That was the good old days....Great carving Lynn......Myron

Great carving, Lynn! How about combining your ash bucket idea with Myron's: move the coal scuttle to the back side, and put a shallow ash pan under the front of the stove...
