Default Global Warming - First Look

Here is my latest piece prior to the paint table. There will be more posted on my blog by this evening. As always, comments and suggestions welcome. Been trying to think of something to put on the floor on the back side of the stove. Want to keep it as a single caricature so dogs are out. Ash can maybe, but open to other thoughts.

Perhaps a couple of small logs to throw in the stove.
He just had to take a small break and toast his buns.

He's neat.

Looks like he has a tough life, but still enjoys the simple pleasures.

Wonderful looking piece Lynn .. Does he look like someone we know ? ... Pretty good resemblance ...
Since it's a single caricature .. I wont recommend a little mouse on the other side doing the same ..
Cant wait till it's complete ... great job

Lynn,
I really like this piece. I'm not sure that you need anything else on the back side of the stove. I really like the line from the stove, to the shovel, then the coal bucket and finally to the figure. It has a really nice visual flow. Then again maybe a chair or stool with a pair of pants warming or drying.

May I see what the gentleman is reading -- a book or newspaper, a letter from home ?

Lynn, another awesome piece. I'm not sure you need anything else, it looks great as is. I like the idea of a stool, or perhaps a coat rack?

Thanks for the suggestions. I like the shoes suggestion but will have to change them to Boots. I've been thinking an ash can. A stool or coatrack would be too large.

Finally got the new blog up and posted so there's a description of what I did when putting this thing together.

Again, thanks for the comments and suggestions!!
