| | Re: Genes Cowboy (sort of) Cliff... That's an outstanding job. The only thing that I see is what the others have already mentioned and that is that if you seperate the forehead from the hat it will not only look more realistic but it will be a whole lot easier to paint. Other than that I'm impressed. I wouldn't even attempt a 10-gallon hat!

| | Re: Genes Cowboy (sort of) WOW, thank you all, I'm happy with all the kind words and the suggestions. As for the forhead, dang, I'm afraid I might screw the whole thing up at this stage, it might be worth a try but I'm really nervous about it. I plan to have him holding a lassoo when he's finshed, but there again, I'm afraid to drill a hole in his tiny hand. Gene, I want to personally thank you for posting these great tutorials, without them, I'm afraid I'd be lost.

| | Re: Genes Cowboy (sort of) Well gang, I've taken your advice, the hat is gonna have to be trimmed to give him more forehead, man, you have no idea how nervous I am about doing this task. If it turns out, I'll repost him, before I paint him.

Cliff | Yes, we do have an idea as to how nervous you are about the forehead/hat surgery. We've all been there with each carving at some point. You can do it. A little at a time.
I'm waiting for the repost after the surgery. Get 'er done ! | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
