Default Gene! I can't lie to ya man!

Gene... I could have have told you a little white lie but I know that my karma would have caught up with me sooner or later! At our last show I picked up a half dozen sticks of 1-1/2" x 1-1/2" x 6" of basswood and I've got to tell you it was a lot easier for these big mitts of mind to carve these than those little 1"x1"x4" pieces that I tried previously! And I had a lot more fun! I'll leave the micro whittlin' to you experts! The 1-1/2" sticks are still small enough to throw in my small take-it-any-where bag to whittle on while waiting on the wife!

Hi Eddy
Like your carving it came out good. With the red nose it looks like he may have a cold, nice paint job and the pens in the pocket made a nice touch.I'll have to try that on my next one

Bob...

I guess that you can't tell from the photgraph but that's an insignia over the breast pocket not pens. I do Autocad drawing for residential remodeling, additions, and small commercial build outs for a contractor friend and I made it for him in his likeness or should I say his carricature likeness!
