I decided to make him a bust as, with his fairly elongated head, he would be just a little too large with a body. I turned the base out of Butternut. Should be a nice little piece once it's painted. I've posted a few more photos on the blog of different angles. |

For those may not know just how much you carve, they should check out your knife in your posted photo of the sketch. The finish on the knife did not get worn off sitting on the shelf...Thanks again, Tom H |

A PERSON CANNOT LOOK AT YOUR SITE AND NOT LEARN SOMETHING. I KNOW ONE THING, YOU HAVE HELPED MY CARVING ,IN LEARNING TO ADD DETAILS THAT MOST PEOPLE NEVER NOTICE.......AND IT DID NOT COST ME A DIME ...LOL......

Not being in a area where the is a lot of oppurtunity for any classes, your blog has been invaluable,your blog has helped me improve in both carving and presentation.
anyone familiar with your work can see your influence in some my carvings posted on this board.
