Bill....haven't made progress on the ship in months. Got hit with a batch of customer jobs and am finally getting through them, so hope to pick up where I left off on her soon. Have this dragon to complete, did a little pot tonight, touched up a cane tonight and did the final sanding on a spoon I made from a stick of A pple wood I had drying.

Now, where did I leave those spars?

Bob

Beautiful. I love how with simple lines you reached that amazing delicacy.

Thanks Coffeeman, I think about my dead coffee bean roaster every time I see your handle.

Thank you Eleanor and Wade, you guys are so good that the kind words make me feel I'm better than I know I am.

Sounds like you have been busy Bob. I was reading your post and between the dragon and the cane I did a 35 year flashback to my college days, thanks for the happy memories. hehe

Thanks Tarik, The grain of the wood had a lot to do with the lines, playing the grain shaped the wings and other things, it was a fun carving.

Thank you Charlotte, I wish I could carve faces like the ones on your fantastic Santa's, mine are just awful. I even tried looking in a mirror while I'm carving but I may be handicapped with the reference material.

HappY Trails
Bill
