Default Foal proyect

I'm starting a new proyect, my third horse theme. I want to post the step by step and expect everything go well. if not, you'll know too

I'm using "Rauli" Nothofagus alpina or Nothofagus nervosa. It's an endemic tree from Chile and Argentina, soft, with almost no grain and a characteristic bright orange color, probably the best I could find as a begginner.

Here is an update of my secon day of work. I don't know if I'm carvong better, but at least I'm working faster than before.

I'm not thimking in any breed in special. I'll be happy if it can be distinguished from an adult horse

Yesterday I had a black out here in home, so I could carve less than an hour. Still, this is what I have.

I spent thwe weekend camping in a workshop, so not lots of free times, but those little moments, a great place to meke progress with the knife.
