Very nice Doris, is that Dark Watco Wax you used to stain it. I really like how it came out.

mark, yes i understand the analogy with the elegant woman :-) ... i never would have thought i would recarve a piece, but this one was "recarve it or throw it in fire" and provided a great lesson. ,,, so glad i learned it, "if it not looks good carve on, even if you first thought "now only waxing and then finished""..:-)...its finished only when it pleases you for that moment (what comes days later is another story....lol...)

joy, yes i am glad too, you can imagine how i was shocked when i saw the mess, and now am happy with it :-)
mel, it is brown briwax, but a very old can, dont know if that is still available for purchase. it was bought originally in britain.
