| | flower hi everybody... my first carving in 2008 :-)
this has a funny story ... it started a day before christmas, i just wanted carve a flower for exercise, grabed a big piece of wood, and started carving...this was so fun, that i thought after the first was about finished, i try another one, just next to it, and there was plenty of free space on the wood...and then did a third... now my wood looked odd, i had digged 3 holes in which those flowers sat, and the surrounding wood was untouched,... but, i liked them, and thought why not try to make a decent carving out of them, touch them up, and find a design ...hmm, what to do, the wood piece is odd, and so far i had not spend a tiny thought for design... so i carved for finding inspiration some leafes, and then it went ... so, without much planning, i know the design is questionable, at least ;-) ,,, but i hope you enjoy nevertheless, i put a large version into the galley too ... and, constructive critique very welcome :-) |

| | Re: flower Hey Doris, looks good so far. Good job the piece of wood wasn't a foot longer or you would have ended up with a tree (smile) I think once it's painted, it's gonna be a real nice piece. |

| | Re: flower Doris, that is a really nice looking piece...did you just make up the pattern as you went along, or was it based on something?

| | Re: flower Oh Doris, I enjoy! There is just something about creating for the sake of creating without pattern or a structured plan. You are a very talented lady and your skills take you threw and along what needs to happen next in your design. I love it!
