Looks like you've pulled the head off an eagle and stuck it on the end of the stick. Did he put up much of a fight?? Have heard they bite real hard!!! You done a real nice job. Super good job.

I just love these patriotic carvings you guys produce. You really do a great job on them. If I have said it once I will say it a thousand times there is no body in the world as patriotic as an American. Great carving great paint job just love those stars and stripes.

That is a really nice stick and I hope that you continue with the "fowl" slant in carving! You can never go wrong with Ole Glory as the subject of your work!

Thank you, everyone, for the replys. Your input means a lot to an old coot like me. You are a great bunch to be associated with.
This was a fun project for me, even though it took a while to actually get started. The eagle pattern was in the latest issue of WCI, and I photographed the flag at church because I wanted a real look, not stylized. Now I gotta get out and show it off, and figure what the next project is.
BTW, I'm proud to be an American, born and bred in the USA. Don't forget to pray for the protection of our military, and wisdom for our government.

Wisdom and our government? Now that is an oxymoron if I ever heard one!

What a great idea and well executed. Great job on both the flag and eagle.
