Your niece will love it you are doing a great job. Isnt willow a dream of a wood to carve? Look forward to seeing it finished

Thanks everyone!

Kenny, I'm going to woodburn and paint the flowers, paint the eyes and his hat. Not sure yet if I will leave it natural or give it a light stain.

Colin - this is the first time I've carved willow and it really is nice to work with! Since my house in BC hasn't sold yet when I go back I'll probably cut a few branches off to make more sticks.
