Hi there, finally managed to find a way of sending pics from my phone to the pc! So here's my first attempt at a female woodspirit. This was off the cuff carving, I didn't have an image in mind, just a desire but I have to say she turned out ok. What do you all think?

Raven, This the first female wood spirit that I have seen. She looks good. I'm sure there has to be other female wood pirits out there. Nice job! Safe Carving and God Bless, Mark |

Thanks guys ![]() Although I am pleased with her, I really wish I'd done something resembling planning when I carved her. The proportions are all over the place! The hair turned out better this time though |

That's a great carving, Raven. I've seen very few female wood spirits. I'm hoping to see more (or even make some myself). Good job.

Thanks Jim ![]() What actually started me on this is my very first commission. I had a day out Saturday at a Green festival in my hometown. One of my friends had a stall there to promote herpermaculture farm and she let me show my carvings there. Well, it was a good day for me as I've got not only a commission for a woodspirit lady to go with my first woodspirit but commissions for 2 green men (or rather one green man and a green cat, both from Loras Woodspirits and Green Men book). I tried to tell them I've never done a green man, or any other relief carving come to that but both parties were adamant that they'd be happy with whatever I could turn out, so I'm going to give them a go. I only hope my green men turn out as well as my woodspirit lady! At least 'll have patterns this time |

Raven, I like her. Way to go on the commissions and sells. Bet it feels great!
