Default Finishing the Kachina Dolls

Well here is some pic of the kachina dolls I have been working on.
I posted some pics earlier when I first started.
Now these are pics of the progress and the end of working on them. This has been something else to do for my for time carving.
I have learned a few tricks along the way to help me out on the next project.
The only problem so far that I see is that no one here in town sells basswood. I have to buy it off of ebay and hope that the shipping is not to high.

Nice Kachinas James I'm doing one also. Mine is the Crow Mother on a curved piece of cottonwood branch. Mottles asked to post it here so I will here in a bit.

As far as basswood have you checked out Heinecke Basswood. There's is great and at a competitive price. They have a good reputation with most folks here.
Heinecke Wood Products They have always been good for me.

Those are nice looking Kachinas James! There should be a lot of basswood in Minnesota. Have you done a google search?
