| | Finished the mask today Well the carving anyway…
I had today off so I spent about 7 hours finishing the Native American mask today now I need to figure out how I want to finish it
I think I’ll let it sit a few days and give it some time before I tackle it. |

| | Re: Finished the mask today Once the finish gets into the grain of that carving, the features should really stand out. Your patients certainly paid off. I'm getting ready to carve a Native American Indian into some poplar I have in the shop. I ruffed out some drawings from the various carvings in Jeff's book.

| | Re: Finished the mask today The composition of the piece is terrific. All of the lines flow to frame as well as enhance the piece. The empty space is a nice counterbalance to the weight of the face and "hat" allowing your mind to fill in the rest and the musculature is very well done.Again , a fine piece of carving. | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
