Default finished itchy dog

I said I would post some finished pics, the wood didn't take the stain well, but I like the results. Is it possible the cold weather had an effect on staining? It wasn't real cold in my gaarage, but a bit below room temp. I thought it might be to cold, but I was in a hurry to finish it. any comments welcome.

I copied the pics from another thread, to see a bigger image check itchy dog original thread.

Hay Bruce, great work, from your picture and the size of the dog i'm assuming you work a lot with a chain saw, i ahve to admit that i turn my nose up to most chain saw work as i feel they (most) stop a the blocking out stage and don't go on to finish but that's not what you did, you finished in great style thanks for sharing, i love it..............
