Thank you all for the complements. Merry Christmas everyone!

Nancy-CA, I'm a new member as well, only been on about a month. I've been carving for about five years but I've really stepped it up this last two years.

Gary, I'd like to see your Indian.

Again thank all for the complemnts.

Dylan

Gary, I'd like to see your Indian.
My version is not very good, i carved him about 4 years ago, and could do better now, but I gave him to my daughters, Father-in-law and he loved it. He is about 5" tall out of Basswood Picture below.

Dylan, really nice job. I have the book and hope to give it a try once I improve my skills. I have a way to go before I will have the confidence to tackle this project! Thanks for sharing.

I am very impressed. How did you finish this pc? I like the natural finish but I am sure it looks great either way.

Greg, I finished it with three coats of Deft. I'd wanted to paint it but for once it sold before I was finished with it and the buyer like the natural wood. He'd have taken it woth no finish at all if I let him. I must say that GaryMc's looks great with the paint and 5" tall.
