Here's my very latest piece. It's made from basswood and is 14 in. tall, 8 in. wide and 3 1/2 in. thick. As I'm sure you all can see I made it with the help of Jeff Phares book carving a human face. Dylan |

Wow Dylan! Great job. It is beautiful. The eyes are great, so real with great expression. How long have you been carving? Pardon my question if you are a longtime carver/member here, I'm new so I don't know everyone yet.

Great Job Dylan!!! Ihave that same book, the only Indian that I have carved is about 5" tall, same pattern that you used. I have a peice of butternut big enough to do the pattern, just never got to it yet. Keep up the great work and Merry Christmas! GaryMc

Dylan that is fantastic you really did well to follow Jeff's instructions it is a wonderful carving. Having taken one of Jeff Phares courses I know Jeff would give you top marks for that carving. He is a great carver and just amazes you when you watch him carve. Again great job on the native Colin

Great job, there is a lot of detail or expression I should say in that face. The expression on the Natives face is so realistic. Great job on the whole presentation.
