 Figurehead finished! Well folks, it was a job, but it's done, carved, painted and fitted....that was the toughest part, fitting it. Carve part of the stem to recieve it and a slot in his back to marry into and voila...simple as can be! Ya right!!! I love a good challenge. Bob

HOLY LILYPUT BATMAN!!! nice lil figurehead I blew up the picture and noticed the rings on his fingers (just kidding) super nice tiny detail next you can carve the last supper on the pencil he is standing next to wow incredible good job Last edited by kb2rocket : 01-13-2006 at 06:55 PM. |

| Re: Figurehead finished! Wade....where there's a will, there's a way. I use double sided tape to hold him while doing the carving, after I rough him out on the scroll saw....that was fun! , Arms were cut and carved seperately and glued on, then finish carved. Don....good estimate sir, he's actually 5/16" wide, and 7/8" tall. I'm not sure what size boot he's wearing though! kb2rocket....did you notice the inscription on the sword blade and what the rolled up chart is of? Hugh....sorry, no political leanings. I just keep my hand on my wallet whenever there are politicians around! Politicians of all stripes! Glad you like it folks. Bob

 Re: Figurehead finished! WOW! Awesome work! The detail of your work is what sets you apart from others. Keep up the patience that is needed for your kind of carving. I would like to see more pictures of your work as you go.
