Merle, I enjoy relief carving but want to get more into carving in the round,I hope to be able to start this summer. Hall or wall of fame? I do have 6 walls in my booth that me and my wife set up at 4-5 art shows each year. I dont keep many of my art works but my 3 children have several paintings of mine plus my new wife here has a few carvings she likes. I have some friends in Hurlock,Md. I appreciate your comments. Thks"

It is coming right along. Please keep posting pictures as you go. The fiddle itself has very good depth and the way his hand is pulling the bow across the strings looks very real.

TN.....I think your design layout is very realistic and should capture the "moment in time" perfectly. Looking forward to viewing the completed piece. Bill

In most cases,I should have carved and painted this carving in 2days but this wk Ive had alot going on plus some unspected things to come up. Its going to rain and turn colder so I will be in this wk end and finish this olde fiddler. I hope viewers have enjoyed watching him being carved and painted. your comments are appreciated. Thks~

MA, burning and carving is not the same as playing with matches and knives.
