It's been a long time since I posted anything carved or otherwise, so I thought I'd post what I've recently finished and what I'm still working on. The nameplates are wood burned for my kids for their pets names - "Chilley" (that's how it was spelled from the folks we rescued him from) is for a white long haired Angora rabbit - "Vega" is for our female chocolate lab pup - "Snakella" is for my son's female corn snake - and finally "Sunset" is for my daughter's new betta fish she received for her birthday. We won't win many awards for naming our animals... The next pic is of a bottle-stopper that needed an eye exam before I finish it up and the rest of the jolly souls are commission ornaments for late this year. The next pic is of a little guy I carved and the rest are bottle stopper commissions for a timberwolf and a laborador retriever. As you can see I'm still in the design stage for those.... Finally, the last two pics are of chip carved plaques. One for the bride, the other a commission. Sorry for the quality of the pics, but I wanted to share "what's on the bench". Comments and critiques welcome, and thanks for looking!

Now that's what I call being ambitious! It looks like you're getting a head start for Christmas 2011???

I love the pet's names. You're doing some really nice work there!

I like em all but the chip carving is real nice. By the way, just leave Santa's eyes like they are and put a caption under them "Hey, what was in them cookies?" Tim |
