| | Re: a cfw more carvings IP Kenny the pictures are a little fuzzy
How big are they ?
I like the forms, Santa looks good nice pose. Would make a good clown as well.
The bears look good , but the face is a bit fuuzy to look close. But I like the jowls .
The Indian , looks like he has one line to many the cheekbone looks a bit odd to me . And that could be just the photo ,
Nice to see some of your work , it's been a while .
Over should be great when your finished.

I think all of them are cute but the bear especially is. Are they bleached, unfinished or finished clear? If they are they look neat like you have them.

| | Re: a Few more carvings IP Kenny, Nice carvings. They look like they small. Are they? I like the soft look to them too. And I don't think that soft look is because of the camera either. You use any abrasive on them? Or is that just the result of excellent knife work?

| | Re: a Few more carvings IP The biggest is the Santa at 6 inches, Bear at about six inchs and the Indian at 4 inchs. Yes Ash, they are a little fuzzy as I have a new camera and have not got the adjustments down very good. and Yes again, The cheeks need some work as it is not finished, Hence WIP.
BOb, these are all unfinished and the Santa will be painted and the bear, probabl, Heavens no, BLO with Burnt Sennamixed with it to give a light brown cast to it.
The Santa is still a WIP as I have carved in the boots under his coat. When I get it finished, I will post Complete pictures of it .
No, Not excellent knife work. I only wish it was but trying out a technique Vicki talked to me about. To bad I did not have the time at class to have this done.
Thank you all again for the kind words and comment. I learn from them. |
