Closer inspection I can see the loops on the caps. I also noticed the phone beside them...I didn't realize they were so small.

Patrick, sorry, I should have mentioned in the original post. They started as 3/4 by 6 inch blocks, I cut a bunch before I got laid up so as to have something to do on recuperating. Bear in mind, the hats are 2 1/2 inches so it leaves a small face area to carve. Yes that is the phone, I bought one of those large carver aprons and I've got it thumb tacked on my desk, the wall and the window and when I slip my head in, no chips and momma is happy. Gotta keep peace in the old homestead for sure.

Hey Cliff , Those are great , I'm proud of you.
Yes its important to keep mommy happy cause if you don't then she might lock you and your knives in a closet with no lights and tell you to carve in there. One thing buddy , would really like a picture of you wearing that apron , I'm having trouble forming a mental picture

Cliff, neat little group you carved there! So glad you're on your way to recovery though.....I know you must be chomping at the bit to get to some bigger things. You made good use of your time! Those lil' fellas look great! Bonnie
