| | Father Christmas...well sort of. This 2ft high birch rendition of a Father Christmas (and somewhat angry) didn't go as planned. I always seem to start out my carvings with one thing in mind and it turns into something else. As well, I went too big with the face to the size of the log as I had intentions of adding hair. Oh well, another lesson learned. I will be trying another and hope to make some improvements. He's a little shiny from the tung oil and bright lights. If you look close enough I carved out "Father Christmas" under the holly.

| | Re: Father Christmas...well sort of. Hi Patrick, well he certainly does look stern, but it might be that is just your style of carving. I think it looks great and I like the name and decoration on the cap too.

| | Re: Father Christmas...well sort of. At least no one will argue with him. Great face as usual. I like the details on his hat rim.
You're another carver that I wish I could peek over the shoulder of. Those eyes are perfect.
