Default Fairy door

This is an idea I got off of another message board called Lumberjocks. A few members have tried their hands at Fairy doors and put them in delightful little places in their homes and gardens.
I think I've seen a few here on this board as well.

This is my version of the idea, and I enjoyed doing such a quick little project for a change. The color is from goauche paints with boiled linseed oil over it.

oh for NEAT! I've got some doors cut out and tossed in the corner somewhere. I'll have to haul them out and try carving on them. I love your idea! I've been carving gnomes with movable arms.. so they might need a door or two to dash for.

MOre more.. gotta make more Thor!

Thor, Very cool! Now you need to carve some little gnomes to go with the door. And maybe some mushrooms too. I am guessing that the little door is about 6 to 8 inches high. Am I close?

Hi Thor,

I agree w/ Tom H and Marci, the doors are a natural for gnom,es and mushrooms. And maybe little fairies.

Keoma, I'm surprised your front door isn't already carved up...but I can just see those little doors in your herb garden!
Thor, these are just adorable, can't help but smile when you look at them. Thanks so much for sharing your awsome art.
