Default Fairy Door

Saw this little fairy door on line one day in some website my daughter visits and thought how easy it would be to carve. Ok, mostly easy. The stone work was a pain in the (you know) seeing i was only using a carving jack, would have been a lot easier with palm tools.
But anywho, i've got a bit to finish, like the door knob which i was thinking like the small cheap gold colored ball ear rings, you know the fake ones. Glued inplace, with a small hole drilled for the post, it would make a passable knob.

Now that the wife's seen them i'm in trouble, she wants more for friends....oh well it keeps me busy, like i mind heck i'm carving and that's my kind of busy.

That is a cute idea. Next she will want a fairy to go with it. Nice job.

I was thinking the same thing...where's the fairy? I told my daughter it's the door the tooth fairy uses...bad idea, now she's upset we don't have one.

What's a carving jack?

At the moment a 2 1/2 inch fairy is i little out of my range but it's something that's i'm planning on working on.

Workingforwood, a carving jack is a pocket carver from flexcut about the size of a standard pocket knife. And now your going to have to carve one for your daughter...lol!

Thanks for the comments
