| | Re: Enlow, Carving Western figures, sheriff thanks mark,
i found carving this sheriff a great no pressure or strain project. it just seamed to come together even with the modifications i made, the hard part is figuring out that hat location and time period?
Claude,
thanks, that site surely had a lot of western items for good referance, im thinking a 5 point badge will work fine. |

And Im telling you,you can do alot of things,carve-make knives, etc buttttttttttt you have set a new higher scale for your self with this type of carving you are doing now Thomp!! And you are more than living up to the best carvings Im seen from you! So well carved plus detailed and the feelings you now carve into like this Cowboy! Just totally very nice work!

| | Re: Enlow, Carving Western figures, sheriff sam,
i'm sorry i didn't understand your post, other than you liked the lawman? Forest,
your making my head swell with your nice comments, dang now i got to buy a hat that fits... ain't we suppose to do the best we can do?
i haven't been carving much here lately, being used and abused as the free baby sitter for my 2 grand children, i cant get a minuet to myself, then when i do this old man needs a nap...
i have several half done figures Ive started and hope they come out half as good as this one,,, maybe ill send them out to tom h. to get the eyes done cuz i cant get the hang of them., eddy; i think i wrinkled the shirt too much and the face is lacking a chin so i made him much older looking than heralds pattern/guide has him.
thanks for the comments guys, we do learn from others comments of our work ...
