| | Elk update There is still a lot of work to do but here he is so far. Head not done, feet, base and all the rest to do. Oh yeah, antlers to make.

one thing you might want too do is make the antlers out of cherry, or some sort of hard wood that doesn't snap off so easy

| | Re: Elk update Nancy, this is a magnificent piece as it is. I am sure that it will be far more dramatic when you put the antlers on him. But, I like it the way it is......with the sheds laying beside him on the mountain. Can't think of ever having seen a carving showing that phase of elk life. How do you intend to finish him? Very, very, good! |
