Thanks for all the comments.
Haven't done much on the elk lately.
Focusing more on a fish, but I seem to jump around from one to another.
Doing it that way, I get nothing finished.

Crisp,
Takes some good reference material, patience, and when you get stuck,
ask for some constructive criticism from someone else. Sometimes a different
perspective can go a long way. Get around other carvers and learn some tricks
of the trade. I run into a lot of people who say they could never do that.
I tell them that there only hold up is not doing it.

Just a few thoughts.

Wow Bill...would have guessed that was a real elk too! Wondered how you were going to carve a new set of racks for a real elk - very nice carving indeed! I've been following your pike and can hardly wait to see the finished product... Be sure and post photos of both when you finish them and share them with us! Thanks!
