Grin ... see me sitting in the lotus position on my little rubber maid spongy floor mat wearing my favorite orange bed sheet with no shoes on and with my wood carving resting across my knees as I go "ohm" to my carving knives. Oh too much!

Susan (Looking very sheepish here. I hate to holler "Whoa" to anyone's posting. And to have hollered at three men before my second cup of coffee was a bit too much even for this flaming women's libber. )

Boy...what a mental image that is...

And I'm really impressed if you can sit in the lotus position long enough to say "Ohm." I try to sit in that position for a few minutes to stretch at my martial arts class...and end up switching almost as soon as I get my legs in position!

Oh, the lotus position is a natural for me. I can still easily get my knees right onto the floor even at fifty mumble mumble mumble something. And once there I can work in that position for hours.

It is the keeping still part that is a bear. I would much rather be one with the universe by working, feeling and smelling the wood then by sitting, doing nothing and thinking of nothing ... big question mark here. How does not moving and thinking of nothing get you in touch with anything ... even a bigger question mark.

Ron, have a great trip to New York. Is this the trip to check out how you and Lu are working together ?

Susan

Ron, I am not sure that you do have enough room. Run your finger down the very edge on the right hand side of the board. I see maybe a quarter inch of space for both the water and the elk. You might find that once you drop the water enough for room for the elk that your water is deeper carved then your doe elk. I am just not sure of the room or space here.

Go to New York, have a great experience for you and for Lu. I think he is going to love being the center of your attention that day. Then come back and check the depth. And, please keep us posted on how well the Walkathon goes.

Susan
