WOW I really like the feather flow and the look of the head, over all, is awesome.

Are you doing the whole bird or just the three parts?
If just the three, is that how you will be displaying them?

Just the three parts. That is how the customer wants it done. I am going to add a few fall maple leaves to add a little colour. Hope to start with the painting Friday. Hoping the paint will add to it. The tail looks stiff to me, but don't know what else to do with it.

Well I think it is looking great! and the leaves should soften it and bring it all together. Can’t wait to see the finished piece

Smile Eagle Bust update

I'm ready to start sealing and painting. Finished the feet today. Lost a few hrs, had to take the missus shopping for quilting supplies. She is making a loon quilt for my customer.

Well Done ! But I'm curious, did the customer give any indication as to why just the head, tail, and talons?

I never asked him. A good customer with a big collection. Loves nature. Something different I guess. Its not uncommon, I've run across several busts of an eagle in my searches. Thanks
PS: Toured your web site, great car, and you certainly have the talent for carving. Very nice work.
