Default Dove Carving

I just finished a flying dove carving. It's from a pattern by Rosalyn Daisey. Her books have been a big help to me. Tupelo and acrylics, mounted on a grapevine.

I agree, Paul.....very nicely done. You've caught that explosive exit the doves seem to pull, and have the coloration down just right!

Nice work Paul, and the mounting is very nice also. Squarebriggs, you have a competitor for a clean shop. Look at Pauls web page, and then tell me his shop isn't clean. Verrrrrrry Clean.

Wow! Beautiful bird, Paul. Great website and a big Congrats on your White House experience, what a honour! Hope I am not repeating myself, but I do think that bird carvers are the ultimate carvers. How someone can get a piece of wood to look SO soft is way beyond me. Would love to learn someday though.
