Default Don't Let The Wife In The Workshop!

I had my whole day planned at 0800 this morning. I went down the hill and moved the new piece over to the Gallery to keep it from getting dusty. At 0830 the wife comes in and it went downhill from there. First I had to make a wooden shelf for the new microwave. Then it was two plant holders for the sunroom. Thank God it was Wednesday and she had to go to the Hospital at 1200 to do her volunteer work, otherwise the whole day would have been shot!

After she drove out the drive I started on the lower half of my new cowboy and by 1630 had his boots, pantleggs and Chaps pretty well finished. At 1645 she was back so I put the tools away, locked up the shop, fed Boomer and went back up the hill. After being away from me for almost 5 hours I thought maybe she'd missed me a bit. Guess what her first words were......."Did you get that stuff finished?"

I hear you Lynn my wife retired last year and now I dont get half of what I want to carve done because she either wants me to do things or sit and talk. You would think after 42 years we would have talked about everything by now wouldnt you.Question

Hey, Lynn; I don't know if it's respect or fear that makes us "follow the orders". I suspect it's some of both. Tom H.
