| | Don't Worry - Be Happy! I guess as we get older the holiday season affects us in different ways. We recently received a card from an old and dear friend that sounded a little down in the dumps so I carved this little guy to see if I could cheer her up.
It's 6-1/2" x 2" x 2" basswood painted with acrylics and finished with WB satin poly. It's the basic bear pattern that I've used on other projects but I try to make each one just a little different. I figure that if I carve enough of these bears one of these days I'll get pretty good at it...or not!

| | Re: Don't Worry - Be Happy! It looks to me like you are already pretty good at it. Nice carving. I am sure your friend will love it. Eddy, I have used the water based poly on furniture and it always seems to look colder than the solvent based. Do you notice that on your carvings?
Thanks,

| | Re: Don't Worry - Be Happy! Looks good Eddy! It is true that the holidays affect us all in different ways, particularly if the year hasn't been so kind.
Thanks for the pic--and keep on carving--you don't need the practice, but people need your good cheer!
