Default Dolphins

While working on the village I was also working on a dolphin family. Here it is almost finished. I just have to cut out a base and think of a name for it.

Great job. I use to carve a lot of dolphins, but it's been awhile. Nice work.

The dolphins are butternut and the wave is basswood. The wave was the hardest part and the most work. But, I think it was worth it.

That is beautiful. I had to go back for a second look. I thought at first it was one piece with a different stain. What are the dimensions

Hi Robert;

The height of the dolphins, without the base right now is21" to the top of the Mom's nose and it's 12" across from one baby to the other.

I am glad you like it, my little guy (13) says that the Mom dolphin is me, the two babies are my two sons and the wave is my husband holding us all together, which I thought was kind of profound for a 13 year old.
