All my carvings of birds look like "dodo birds" that's why I stick with caricatures

Jon, could you tell me the colors on the Dodo in the movie? I DO NOT want to use anything like those colors. The pic I got of it was a b&W from my granddaughter's coloring book.

Boy, I've been carving for a long time but I never got it right......the thing you need to do is carve extinct things, then no one can say,"Hey, that doesn't look like that! Just kidding, Nancy, I think any upstanding DODO would be happy to have you carve him...or her. How do you tell? Let's not go there.

OK I cant hold back any longer !!!

nice carving but there is something that really pisses my off!

how do you keep your carving area so clean ?
thats plane crazy, it not normal , how can you carve and not make a mess???
next time aleast throw some chips around the carving just to make it look like you did something.

LOL....

good job

and you can learn to be messy (maybe I should have a class on it)

Talking Re: Dodo caricature

The wings were a battleship gray and the body was gray top fade to light gray/white belly. Beak was a pinkish color fade to orange and the legs where orange. This is as per my son's recollection and my faded memory. Good luck.
