Thank you for all the positive comments, they are truly appreciated. I tell ya, it was tough carving the body when the dang head was so big, wasn't much room for detail when ya do the head fitrst.

Thumbs up Re: I did it, I did it, I did it, Thanks Gene

Cliff .. dont thank me .. I thank you for trying it .. you did a good job .. he's got that certain look ..

I know flat plane is hard at first because you want to round off .. but with time .. you use the planes to substitute for roundness ..

great job on your first

Gene

Thanks Marci, Genes patterns are all in the Tutorials section, you'll have to go thru all posts by Gene to find them, I've been saving them for quite a while.

Gene, thanks so much for you're help and indulgence, dang, this first one was a tough one, being the head was so big as opposed to the body. I've got some others ready to start now that I've finalkly got my feet wet.

Hey Cliff, I also had a thought. The very first time I ever heard of you, you were having difficulties with that Band Saw. From these photos it looks like you have that well under control now. And those are some great pictures. Good job on the photography.
Keep it up. Very interesting to look at.
Thanks,
BobT
