| | Cutty Sark half model Tryed something different this week, a half model of the Cutty Sark, using just contrasting woods, instead of the built up method I usually use. I still have to mount it on a back board, but you can get the idea from these pictures.
The wood is Birch, the bottom regular Birch and the top "fumed" Birch.
She certainly had beautiful lines, the Old Lady did!

| | Re: Cutty Sark half model bob nice work i love sailing ships when my wife and i went on our honymoon we went on a windjammer cruise the first time either of us ever sailed and just loved it. by the last day i was the only one that still got out bed to help raise the sails the crew thought i was nuts but i just loved it. btw the cutty sark not only had great lines but it still has great lines i understand it resides in england today as a working museum correct me if im wrong. keep up the work i love your ships.
