Default ""Crosswind" (my weather vane is finished)

Hello to all. I have just completed my weather vane and for those of you that wanted to see it finished, here's a few pictures.

The Eagle tracks into the wind in any direction. Carved in multiple segments, it is finished by painting with various (7) stains. After drying, various acrylic washes were applied and a few coats of tongue oil. It seemed like it would never end. A few people have expressed their interest in purchasing it when I'm ready to let it go.

Enjoy,

Wait till you see my next major project. It's in the planning & research stage now.

Dennis

Beautiful job Dennis. This is about the most unique weather vane, or should I say feather vane that I have ever seen. I just love it.

Dennis,
I'm with Tom. Unique was the first thing that came to mind. I love old and new weather vanes and this is one of the neatest that I have seen. Nice Job.

Safe Carving and God Bless,

Hi Dennis,

I absolutely LOVE this piece! Great attention to detail in the carving and the staining/coloring. The petroglyphs on the rocks are a fantastic touch.

WELL DONE!!!!

Mark
