hi thor
hey i think this is cool i like the design on the dolphins i think maybe designs on the long boat might be nice also but maybe it might over do it there is room for extra work on it though but lovely i think though a carving of a few long boats one near and a few in the distance would make a great carving you know men holding shields and axes ready to raid on the boats

This is an update on the carving with changes made.
I honestly was not happy with the design, and many of your opinions reiterated my own problems with it. I had to add more.

I'm not done with the carving yet, but it is much more balanced looking now. It has a decidedly Viking knotwork off to the right with another trinity knot in the "air" that happens to be the clients tattooed wedding ring, and the Midgard serpent to the left.

I came very close to cutting the dolphin to the left off completely since I now know that dolphins don't "follow" ships, but I've decided that "she" is following "him" and she can symbolize the guy's wife who does not share his interest in boats. Artists' perogative.

The carving has taken twice as long as I planned, so my initial price is down right silly now, but I'll be happier with it, and that is a lot more satisfying than more money.

I still have to clean it all up, and then build the box.
Christina
