| | Cowboy Bust Here is a little Cowboy bust that I finished today. He'd better tuck in that hair he's so proud. Should look pretty neat once it's painted. |

| | Re: Cowboy Bust Neat hombre Lynn.
Mel, I am not Lynn.Yes Lynn used a burner to seperate theprats of the piece so the paint will not bleed over on to the next.Learned that in his Hour long seminar at the Tulsa Carving show. |

| | Re: Cowboy Bust Great carving Lynn! Really enjoy the detail you put into the pieces. I also think the burning really sets it off. My wife bought me a razortip for Father's day that I have yet to use because I just moved and am trying to get settled in. Any tips on burning caricatures???

| | Re: Cowboy Bust Re Burning in Details.....I mainly burn in the lines that seperate the areas of different color. I also highlight any deep creases to give them added emphasis. One thing you don't want to do, from my perspective anyway, is to overdo it. Good luck. |

How do you know when you over do it?
And yes I like him reminds me of the sidekick in the old movies where his hair was in his face all the time.
