Default Cooling His Heels gets a friend

It has been some time since I've made any progress on my Cooling His Heels scene. With the birth of the Caterpillar knife, I've been extremely busy filling knife orders and haven't had much time to carve. I did, however, find the time to give my cowboy some company.

This little frog addition turned out even better than I had imagined. He looks awfully comfortable lounging there on that sandy beach, an ice-cold tropical drink in his hand.

I'd love to know what you think, so feel free to leave a comment. A few more pics and a better description of things can be found on my blog.

Since I am rather new to carving my opinion may not mean much buttttt I sure had a smile on my face after seeing your frog and lazy man. It had humor and action all rolled into one scene. Great Great job that's for letting us enjoy your hard work

Hey Brandant,
FANTASTIC!!!!!!! I've checked the pics several times because its such a FUN & RELAXING scene and the frog is such a great addition but for the life of me I can't figure out what else needs to be done? Thanks for letting us take a peek, it definately is one of the best I've seen.

Brandant,

I'm glad you have been busy with the knives, but I'm even happier that you got this scene finished and shared it with us. What's not to loike about this scene, carving is great, the painting is fantastic.

Safe Carving and God Bless,

Mark

Thanks guys for your encouraging words!!! I hope to find the time this week to get the rest of the pieces for this scene finished up. I still have to figure out how to get the water in the stream. I have done some research and have several options that I'm considering. I sure hope things work out. I don't want to screw up all of my hard work with a bad job on the water. Wish me luck!!!
